Potty Training

I am so proud of my daughter. She is officially ALMOST potty trained. I started her off with just panties and "commando" and kept reminding her that if she needed to pee, she has to let Mommy know. I didn't expect much on the first day however on her 5th time to pee, she finally said, "Mommy, pee-pee". And guess what!? I missed her queue?! I was so engrossed with the show that we were watching that I didn't realize what she said until she was outside our bedroom door and she just peed. I felt so bad. However, after that she did well. I put her back on diapers though that night since I still haven't figured out how to go about "night time peeing". In the morning, I started her again on panties. She did well.

I really wanted to do this slowly and I didn't expect her to catch on real quick. On the third night, we went to a friend's house. I decided to try putting her on pull-ups that night and see if she will let me know if she needs to go. Now, before I continue, she's somehow afraid of the big toilet. She's always had her toilet seat when poo-ing so when we seat her on the big seat, she gets scared. I was afraid that since we are out, she may not want to go since it's the big seat. This was the day she made me so proud! She said, "Mommy, pee-pee" and we walked towards the washroom...and she went! I was so happy I was in tears! The following days would be the same. However, I would still put her back on diapers at night since, again, I still haven't figured out what to do with that part.

Partly, I am happy that it's $30 back into our savings instead of diapers! hehehe! But of course mostly, my little baby is almost a big girl now! I am so happy and proud. And now it's time for a new little one...hehehe! We'll see...
